Clockout, a New York networking app that helps people find nearby professionals, join interest-based communities and attend local events, has raised $3.5 million in total, Fortune reported on October 2. The funding was led by 114 Ventures with participation from Evite Ventures, Allied Ventures, Sher Ventures, Gaingels and BMPB VC. No valuation was disclosed.

Founder and CEO Krishna Dosapati launched the app in October 2024. According to Fortune, it has passed 600,000 downloads and reached $1.1 million in annual recurring revenue within 10 months of starting to charge. Premium membership costs $99 a year and unlocks unlimited club and event access, and a free tier covers basic networking. Fortune also reported that users sent nearly 400,000 invitations to others in 2025.

"The biggest issue in this space, as a working professional, is how do I actually find a community around my profession?" Dosapati told Fortune.

Why it matters: Clockout sells what dating apps increasingly sell: a reason to show up somewhere in person. It charges for communities and events rather than one-to-one matching, the same direction Tinder is taking with Group Hangouts. For founders building event-led social products, the $99 annual price point and the pace to $1.1 million in recurring revenue are a useful benchmark.
