Match and Grindr Report Next Week. Here Is What to Watch.
Match guided to a revenue decline with wider margins. Grindr raised its outlook and is buying its way into HIV prevention. The two reports land four days apart.

The two largest U.S.-listed dating companies report third-quarter results four days apart. Match Group reports after the market closes on Monday, November 2, with a call at 5:00 pm ET. Grindr said on October 22 that it will post its third-quarter shareholder letter after the close on Thursday, November 5, followed by a call at 2:00 pm PT (5:00 pm ET) that will also be broadcast on CEO George Arison's X and LinkedIn accounts.
Match: a smaller quarter, wider margins
Match guided third-quarter revenue to $885 million to $895 million, down 2% to 3% year over year, and adjusted EBITDA to $330 million to $335 million, up 10% at the midpoint, a margin of about 37%. In the second quarter, revenue fell 1% to $853 million and payers fell 6% to 13.25 million. Hinge revenue rose 22% and its monthly active users rose 13%. Tinder's year-over-year decline in daily active users narrowed to 4%.
Three things to watch: whether Tinder's user trend keeps moving toward flat, whether the payer decline slows, and whether Hinge holds growth above 20% as it expands in markets such as India. Match CEO Spencer Rascoff has also said Tinder now manages to "sparks," matched conversations with at least six back-and-forth exchanges. Watch whether that metric, or anything like it, shows up in what Match reports to investors.
Grindr: growth, plus a health business
Grindr's second-quarter revenue rose 33% to $138.1 million, with adjusted EBITDA of $57.6 million, a 41.7% margin. It raised full-year 2026 guidance to about $540 million in revenue and about $232 million in adjusted EBITDA. On September 30 it agreed to buy PurposeMed, parent of the PrEP telehealth provider Freddie, for $250 million in cash and stock, plus up to $70 million tied to 2027 targets, with closing expected in the fourth quarter.
Arison has started sizing that bet in public. In an interview published October 16 by the healthcare newsletter Out-Of-Pocket, he said that if Grindr reached Canadian-level PrEP market share in the U.S., "by 2030 you're talking about roughly 300,000 prescriptions. That's a billion and a half dollar business." Watch whether Grindr reaffirms or raises its $540 million guide, how it plans to report health revenue, and whether the Freddie deal has closed.
Why it matters: These two reports bracket the category. One is a scaled incumbent guiding revenue down while expanding margins. The other is a community-focused platform growing more than 30% and adding a new revenue line built on user trust. For founders and operators, the gap shows where investors are paying: deep engagement with a defined audience and new products that audience will pay for, not broad reach. Expect the language on both calls to shape what investors ask private dating companies in their next raise.
