Earnings season opened with a split result. Match Group's Q3 showed Tinder daily actives back to growth in September while payers and revenue kept falling, Hinge grew 19%, and management said 2027 will be about revenue. Apple redrew the line on what counts as dating: from November 16, apps with dating features, and AI companions that engage in romantic content, get a minimum 18+ rating. Deals kept coming. Hello Group bought a majority stake in Amsterdam's Inner Circle, Grindr closed its $250 million Freddie acquisition ahead of its November 5 results, and a Delaware judge cleared Character.AI's auction with Disney as stalking horse while pressing for a privacy ombudsperson.
